Our Story

Bay and Donna De Marco moved to Jacksonville, Fl. in 2001 from Philadelphia, Pa. After spending over 20 yrs. in the casino industry, they wanted to start their own buisness. They decided to enter the food industry after looking around the Jacksonville area and being unable to find a good hot dog or sausage sandwich.

So in September of 2003 they opened The Hot Dog Hut in Atlantic Beach, Fl. with a very unique selection of hot dog and sausage sandwiches. With the largest variety of both types of sandwiches and the highest quality of meats, buisness was good and word of mouth all over the Jacksonville area spread.

After three years they decided they needed a bigger store and also wanted to be closer to the beach.

In September of 2006, they moved to a newer, larger store at 1439 3rd St. South in the heart of Jacksonville Beach, next to Community First Credit Union.

With a better central location between Atlantic Beach and Ponte Vedra and only two blocks from the beach they can accommodate more people. Besides parking in their lot there is additional parking behind Community First Credit Union.

They now have indoor seating and some outdoor seating as well. The menu has expanded which now includes hamburgers, corn dogs, Italian style roast beef, chicken tender sandwiches, beer battered onion rings and a variety of BEER. And they are known for their great fries.
